Mysore is a historical city in Karnataka, India. It's proximity to Bangalore (which is known as the silicon valley of India) has positioned it as the next IT destination in Karnataka.

Today's Mysore City was the capital of State of Mysore before India gained Independence. It was ruled by Odeyars and later by Hyder-Ali and Tipu Sultan who had defeated by Britishers, Peshwa and Nizam.

Reaching Mysore

By Bus: Mysore is 139kms to the south west of Bangalore. The state highway that connects these two cities is very well maintained. Travelling from Bangalore to Mysore by road is a pleasant experience to travel in well built expressway and will take about 3hrs.  The Karnataka Road Transport Corporation has excellent bus service to Mysore. There are ordinary buses, semi-luxury buses,luxury buses and also Volvo bus facilities operated by the Government of Karnataka. Every 15minutes there is a non-stop bus to Mysore from Bangalore Bus Station. Corporations of other states and private tour operators have buses plying to Mysore as well. All these facilities have made Mysore extremely accessible by road.

By Train: Mysore is connected with a number of trains to Bangalore. The super fast luxury train the Shatabdi Express connects Mysore to Madras. The quickest and most comfortable way to reach Mysore is via Bangalore.

Karanji lake [ Very near to Zoo] It's nice scenic park with Lake [ Boating is possible] and here the Star attraction is a Enclosure in which several different Birds will be kept and we can walk within the enclosure. This will be very interesting. Butterfly park is also there in this but it needs a w see more...alk of 1.5 kms one-way.
