One Day Trips around Bangalore

There are lots of interesting places to see around Bangalore. Few of them are one-day-trip kinds. Some of the places are located a little far and warrant an overnight stay for a relaxed trip.

One can choose a place based on the direction. Towards Mysore, there is Somnathpur (a temple with intricate architectural details). Ramohalli with a big banyan tree spread over several acres of land. Kanva reservoir is a lake that's not very clean but nice. Bandipur National Park has lots of options to stay and have jungle safaris.

Towards Kanakpura, one can go to Sangam (where two rivers join). Close to Sangam is Mekedatu where the river water gushes out of a deep gorge and Chunchi waterfalls. Talakadu is a place with ancient temple ruins where 30+ temples are immersed under the sand. Only that small stretch looks like a desert. Bheemeshwari is close to Sangam and Jungle Lodges has a resort there. Mudukuthore is a temple situated near Talakad and is a pilgrim center on the banks of river kaveri.

Towards Hassan, one can cover Belur, Halebidu and Shravanabelagola. Belur and Halebidu are old temples with intricate architecture and Shravanabelagola is a Jain pilgrimage center.

Towards Chikkballapur/Doddaballapur, one can go to Nandi Hills and Skandgiri Hills for picnic. One can also stay at those places.

Devrayanadurga is a fort towards Tumkur. It requires walking.

I think someone has put in a lot of effort to create this. It's amazing that this page is not known to people.

Innovative film city is like Universal Studios...
However, it's only partially open....It has a Ripley's believe it or not gallery, a 4D movie hall, a skating rink, a haunted house, a cartoon land and a Wave pool modelled as a beach.
